Rebecca Luzadis Appointed Interim Chair of Finance Department

The Farmer School is pleased to announce that Dr. Rebecca Luzadis has accepted the position of interim chair of the Department of Finance effective July 1. Rebecca earned her PhD from Cornell in Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, and has been very active in the FSB’s international programs for many years.
Dean Matt Myers noted, “Dr. Luzadis is a long-time Farmer School faculty member who brings to the position not only a firm understanding of our school, but an unwavering commitment to our students and programs as well. We are excited to begin working with Rebecca on critical initiatives in the Department of Finance and in the FSB. Please join me in welcoming Rebecca to her new role.”
The Dean also expressed his thanks to Dr. Jeff Smith, who served as interim chair for this past year by commenting, “Jeff’s dedication and commitment to this position have been inspiring, and as he returns to his faculty role on July 1, he takes with him the heartfelt thanks of the school. Thank you Jeff for all you have done in making the department and the FSB better.”
